The average age of ownership of the Fiat and Peugeot is said to be 31 and 32 respectively. For the Mercedes and Jaguar, the average age of ownership was seen to be 43 and 47 years.
Also, there are a number of people in Britain who want to follow in the steps of James Bond and opt for an Aston Martin DB7 at the age of 42 years. Another Brit seems to inspire 35-year-olds who follow the tracks of the Del Boy and get a Robin Reliant for themselves.

Also, another surprise finding is that with Nissans, Hondas and Toyotas being thought as mostly driven by older people, they have their average ownership age at mid-thirties which are pretty much young and youthful than the drivers usually depicted for these cars.
Paul Baxter, spokesman for Tesco Personal Finance, says, "We have seen some surprising results through this study. The cars that are thought to be driven mostly by the young have an average ownership age too much beyond those levels. The depiction of the drivers in the advertising of these cars is not always what you actually see. Also, if you want to go against the books and wish to buy a car regardless of your age, you can go in for some good shopping. Make sure to check all deals and also take care that you get the cheapest and best insurance for your car, whichever you are driving."
